We currently offer ballet classes for children aged 4 to 11. Classes are grouped by school year to ensure age-appropriate content and development.
🩰 Reception/Year 1
🩰 Year 2/Year 3
🩰 Year 4/5/6
If your child’s school participates in the PointeForward Ballet programme, classes will take place on-site during school hours — usually in the school hall.
You can enrol by selecting a yearly or termly plan via the Tuition & Enrolment page. Payments must be made at least three days before the first official lesson of the term. Early payment is recommended, as places are limited!
To secure a place, payment must be received at least three days before the start of term. Due to limited class sizes and scheduling, we cannot guarantee enrolment after this point.
However, if spaces are still available, we’d love to welcome new students up until the day before the first class. - Please email us to check availability.
Note: This also applies to full-year tuition, which must be paid before the start of the Autumn term.
Classes are £10 per week, billed termly or yearly. Yearly enrolees are guaranteed a spot for the full academic year.
*Please note, yearly tuition packs can only be purchased at the start of the academic year, covering classes for the Autumn, Spring, and Summer terms. After this point, only termly payments are available for the remaining terms.
No – Whilst PointeForward Ballet teaches the Royal Academy of Dance syllabus for training purposes, we do not run formal exams. Instead, students participate in termly performances to showcase their progress in a fun, low-pressure environment.
All students have the opportunity to take part in termly in-school performances. These joyful events celebrate the children’s progress and creativity!
To ensure safety, confidence, and group readiness, students must attend a minimum number of classes in the lead-up to each performance. While we aim to include everyone, regular attendance is essential for participation. If a student has missed too many sessions or key rehearsals, the teacher may decide it's best for them to sit out that term’s performance — but they’re always welcome to continue learning and take part in the next one!
For ballet shoes, we recommend soft, pink ballet shoes in leather or canvas, with an elastic strap.
For tights, we recommend light pink tights in the link below. Alternatively, you may purchase from other retailers, as long as the colour is a close match. https://uk.blochworld.com/products/girls-footed-tights-pink
We recommend visiting your local dance wear shop, where staff can assist with fitting and offer child-specific advice - particularly if you're unsure about sizing.
Prefer to shop online? Ballet shoes can also be purchased from trusted retailers such as: – Dance Direct (UK-based online store) https://www.dancedirect.com/czv200-capezio-stella-canvas-ballet-shoe – Amazon (check reviews and sizing carefully) – Freed, Bloch, or Capezio (reliable brand options)
Still unsure? Feel free to contact us — we’re happy to help!
